I needed to cut some stressors from my life and being on staff here was the quickest and easiest way to do so. It wasn't fun to come here anymore...plus I'm not exactly Miss Popular after refusing to join the lynch mob. OTz is a lot more relaxing to visit now that I can sign out and avoid the drama if I want to. :tooth

I reckon I missed all the lynch mobbing. Don't even know what it was about. I was away for about 3 months and came back to see you a regular member and Darrell gone. I was a tad surprised.

No comment. ;)

Darrell and I are still in touch, though, and he's doing okay.

We only have one radio station, locally.

*is from the middle of nowhere*

They play country music, and they'll start throwing in some Xmas music anytime now.

We have one local radio station that does this as well and they just started this week with the continuous Christmas music. It doesn't bother me because I don't listen to it unless stuck in a car with my mom over the Holidays....this does not happen often so I'm pretty well in the clear of having to tear my ears off. :)

However, I will totally crank up some Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas tunes! haha

They were playing Christmas music in a cafe the other day. They set up Kringleville already but the annual parade is the day after Thanksgiving. I'm tempted to listen to a few songs.

Heck, locally about 8 towns around me already ad their Christmas parades this weekend:24:

Guess they're afraid of the 1" of snow that may happen in December that will force them to cancel as had happened in the past.

Christmas parades in November before Thanksgiving?????

Say hello to Darrell for me. Hope his studies are going well if he has not graduated yet. Is Boston still on your radar?

Just saw this post. Will do!!! :)

Yep, Boston is still on my radar. Still looking for a job up there, but getting frustrated b/c nobody wants to give me a chance. I'm still debating, but I'm very close to just going up after Christmas and working for a temp agency until I can find something in dispatch. It's just a difficult decision to make b/c I'm concerned that people will see that I left my job as a high-ranking officer in my department and automatically think "ooh, she must've gotten into some big trouble and got the fuck out before they fired her!!!" Which is understandable, I know, but it couldn't be further from the truth. My annual review that I received last week was outstanding..."top notch supervisor" and "asset to this division" were 2 comments that I remember off the top of my head.

I have two rules regarding Christmas. The tree doesn't get put up until there's snow on the ground and my sister's birthday has passed (Nov. 12). I don't start playing Christmas music until December 1. I broke the music rule this year. Started playing my Christmas music a few days ago. I love Christmas. :D
