Christian Patriarchy.
Eve ate first from the Tree of Knowledge and became conscious of morality. Why did she eat before Adam? Here she was, the first Goddess, having to decide the most important Laws governing the world. She must decide to follow God or to lead humankind.

Armed with the knowledge to recognise Good and Evil, she recognised that humankind should have a God that was human; not some alien God. The physical universe would be for humankind, and ruled under a human moral code of ethics.

She chose “adam”, a Jewish term for society, to be Adam. The first man and an example to mankind. The Bible states that Adam was to reign over Eve; that she was to be submissive.

The Christian interpretation of the Bible must have been inaccurate. Christianity translated the Jewish scriptures and reversed the original description that described Adam and Eve as being equal.

Is male dominance natural for our species, or has male dominance simply portrayed itself that way? Has Christianity helped to create a patriarchal society where women, like Eve, are expected to be submissive?

Eve made her choice at a time when might made right and physical strength was required because of the conditions at hand. Men seem unable to now get away from that notion and this is shown by the strife and political instability throughout the world.

Is it time for humankind to go to a matriarchal society; both at the political level and at the religious level?

Would you support forced government and religious --- Affirmative action?

but what if eve was created first and the persons writing/translating/interpreting the bible saw females as inferior so did some minor editing..like the whole bible.
the fact that the bible was written/translated/interpreted by men is one of the main reasons i cant really trust it

Who was created first is not important.

Who became as God first is. That was Eve.
Eve basically told adam and Adam, to step up to leadership.

Men lead now.
Real men would step up and demand justice. We did for other oppressed groups. Are women less worthy?
Justice demands it.

What a crock! hahaha!

Why don't you stop preaching and back up what you claim. You have proven nothing in these ridiculous threads except that you are only here to preach. Stop the preaching and start proving!

You hit the nail on the head. Religious belief is wide and varied and can not be proven. This means we can not select one religious belief over another based on truth. All we can do is select the best beliefs based on how beneficial or destructive they are.

Neither can science be proven, there are so many contradictions to "findings".

Nah, you are way off. You can select the one which best matches your worldview. GIA can't prove his premise or even where he gets them. He is too afraid to.

Wow! Are you that stupid that you don't understand what science is?

You can't prove science??? Do you even think before you open your mouth? Because this has to be the most idiotic statement I have read this decade.....

Science refers to a system of acquiring knowledge. This system uses observation and experimentation to describe and explain natural phenomena.

So how the fuck do you prove or disprove a system of acquiring knowledge?

OK Mr So Called know it all, how comes Albert Einstein got his theory wrong about the speed of light? I bet you can't answer that....now please do get your facts right without calling someone stupid, because it makes you look stupid

Ok, not only do you NOT understand what science is, you aren't very good at reading comprehension.
Let me take this a little slower for you...

Science refers to a system of acquiring knowledge. It's a system, in other words a process in which to study the natural world around us.
Einstein's theory of special relativity stated that nothing in a vacuum travels faster than the speed of light since it's particles have no mass. This was his theory and stood as being the most likely theory until otherwise proven to be incorrect. That is exactly what science is, a search for answers. That doesn't mean that since he developed his theory (educated guess) that other scientists just stopped working on this theory... on the contrary, scientists found proof that neutrinos are getting from one place to another faster than the speed of light. If it is proven that neutrinos can indeed travel faster than light, then that theory will stand until proven otherwise. But you need to know that neutrinos traveling faster than light could be the existence of other dimensions that provided the neutrinos with a shortcut – a scenario that would leave Einstein’s theory intact. So the jury isn't back on this quite yet.

So when you say, "How comes Albert Einstein got his theory wrong about the speed of light?" you are showing me that you have no clue what you are talking about and you do not understand what science is.

I forget to mention this part...

Please work on your reading comprehension skills. This was my exact quote, "Wow! Are you that stupid that you don't understand what science is?" I clearly asked you a question. Now if I had changed the words around a little bit, like this... Wow! You are that stupid, that you don't understand what science is? Then I would have been directly insulting you...

Do you see the difference? Reading comprehension makes all the difference sometimes.

There you go, just ignore the post where I point out how wrong you are. Just address the fluff post...

I didn't expect anything more from you

I like science myself. I have 30 years experience working in high tech fields. I have worked on many scientific projects with some brilliant people.

I am not being dismissive of science as being total BS, I just wish Tim would understand that. Yet he behaves like the OP sometimes by insulting people who tends to disagree with him or him disagreeing with them
