Catfish meat sucks cuz it's tough like shoe leather. I eat only Cod and Walleye with walleye being my first choice.

Please feel free to mark this thread " solved ".

Well Swamp Lady :D the only Catfish I've eaten has come from within a restaurant. Maybe they don't know how to cook it.

I still stand by my Walleye comment. I would crawl over a mile of broken glass with my bare knees to get that stuff. I used to catch it all the time when I lived on the prairies and always had a pile of it in the freezer. It sells for about $12.00 - $14.00 per lb. in the stores. B.C don't has no Walleye so I eat Cod... especially when I take my mom out for supper. Have I ever told you about those excursions? :24:

Walleye is by far much better than Cod... especially the cheeks. If one knows hot to fillet properly, and I do, there isn't a bone to be had.

Here's a couple shots.... These are a bit big to eat. I always threw anything over 18" back. The experts say they grow an average of 1" per year. Demz old fish....

Catfish eat the shit of other fish. They are bottom dwellers.
Sure, I eat 'em on occasion, at Cajun restaurants.
They know how to spice 'em up to make you forget they are the scum of aquatic inhabitants.
Otherwise I prefer fish from the Atlantic ocean.
