OMG I can empathise with so much...I actually made a list of everything I hate about being a checkout chick. It got to about 60 things or so. Top of the list was "PACKING GREEN BAGS", my god they are not a blessing they are a burden :willy_nilly:
I am actually usually happy at work, I smile, I laugh, I treat people well.
Other things that bug me are the touch screen. Pressing in a number for fruit, for example, '53' for some vegetable, and it types in '553' as if I double typed it, and then it comes up "Not on file". Well duh of course it's not on file you stupid dickhead machine, I didn't press '553' did I?
What else do I hate...when people pay for their things. I press either cash or EFTPOS (for keycard). You can't swipe your card before I press EFTPOS. And some people actually swipe their card before I even press EFTPOS so they can pay, and they keep swiping like the machine is not working or out of order. God.
I hate it when customers stack things on the belt. So hard to pack and scan everything, so much stuff falls off, it's ridiculous. Although my mum used to have an old trick. She'd press the manual button to make the conveyor belt move when she pressed the button, so she'd press it so distortedly that everything would fall off :24:
