Yes'm. I'm coordinating the"fun" part of a charity event. And basically, I'm going to use you guys for fresh ideas =] That is, if you guys don't mind helping. This is my first year being in charge, and last was my first time helping organize an event at all. I just want it to go okay.
This is what we did last year: http://allamericanweekend.com/
It's all going to the Special Olympics this year, so the Veteran's ride is out. But pretty much everything else is in. Also it's going to be in mid September instead of November.
So far, these are my brainstorming ideas..
Bouncy house
Cake walk
Dime toss
Pop bottle toss
Balloons - either regular balloons, balloon animals, or we can drop little prizes or numbers corresponding to a prize in the balloons and kids stomp the balloon to get it.
Petting zoo
Face painting or an arts and crafts table where they can make their own masks
Radar ball toss - the local police are going to let us borrow some
Water was if it's warm enough
Foam arrow archery - draw some targets on boards the cut them out so the arrow can go through. Or use nerf balls if arrows are too hard.
Dunking booth
Pie throw
Fake jail
Tye-dye
Velcro wall. Either get a velco suit or let them throw stuff at it.
Just ideas, and I know some are a bit redundant. But yeah, just think carnival and fun. Something that would make a 5 year old's week. That's what I'm trying to go for. And I need to spend the least amount of money possible for all this, which works because it doesn't take much money to make kids happy. Or I hope. People tend to donate things when it's for charity. So please don't exclude a good idea because it's pricey, it might be doable.
I appreciate any and all help =]
