Can't sleep so I thought I would type some thoughts

As you greet the day, or the day greets you, however you wish to proceed, consider the possibility at least for a moment that not everything is as it appears. Your morning routine for instance, in the event that you have one whatever it is, lets say that it is more than merely a routine. Maybe you watch the morning news before reading the days paper. Or you take a walk, whatever the case, lets lean towards the idea that maybe it is truly significant in ways that you might not have stopped to consider. If you wave to a neighbor and he waves back and greets you with a smile, maybe that sets the course of your experience for at least the next ten minutes. You open the paper and read a heartfelt story about something that was actually good. I know. Very unlikely, but in any event, it could happen, and since this is all hypothetical, well just pretend for my sake. Lets say you stop for gas and someone jumps in line in front of you, virtually everybody dislikes that. But instead of complaining about them being so impatient in the first place you exercise a lil patience of your own. Maybe you slow down for a squirrel thats crossing the road and speed up just in time to avoid the one that is only moments behind. Ok hypothetically youve done a number of positive things already, its a trend, and its a safe bet that you werent the only one effected.

Without knowing it, you quite possibly have been involved in a number of lives that you generally wouldnt have been. On the news you found out where the cheapest gas prices in town are, and thats why you chose that particular gas station. Normally it wouldnt matter because its just a few cents, but at this point in time, were all far more inclined to be miserly. You greeted your neighbor, which might not be all that common, or maybe it is, and lets say its as much a part of his morning as it is yours. That one act could easily make his day brighter, if in fact this hypothetical situation is based on anything more than my personal delusion. Maybe he goes in and smiles at his wife/girlfriend as a result of the smile hes still wearing from seeing how happy you were, anyone who has ever been in a relationship can most likely appreciate the effect that might have, maybe a small ripple, but them ripples do tend to travel great distances. The person you let in line in front of you at the gas station was working very quickly towards strike number three, one more late arrival and they stood to lose their job. Maybe there are kids at home who count on that income. In any event, you can rest assured knowing that there are very few people who are in a hurry to get to work merely because they like working so much. The impatience that might be presented on the surface could very likely be more the result of necessity than a mere disregard for how valuable your time really is. The squirrels you didnt run over were on their way back to their nook of the world to tend to their animalistic desires, hence the fast pace they were at as they crossed the road. You didnt notice, but they were actually flying squirrels, which begs the question. Why werent the flying?.. But thats beside the point Anyhow, the result of that union later on, is a baby squirrel who will some day appear in the box office version of rocky and bull winkle you did a good thing, cuz Im sure itll be an awesome flick.

Its probably not necessary to turn this scenario to the left instead of the right. It should be obvious to anyone with any sense in their heads, that hypothetically, if youre self presentation can have severe positive effects, if reversed, it could quite easily have the reverse. Point is, I think we as people tend to overlook the simpler aspects of our days. There are generally events that command our attention, but what of those that actually deserve it? If in fact we possess the ability to make a ripple, what kind of ripple should it be? One that gently transcends the distances that make up this pool of humanity? Or do we thrash around trying to see how big the ripple can get, thereby neglecting the form and substance contained therein? To answer that, I think one only has to consider how they would want that same ripple to greet them, because rest assured you get what you give, what comes around goes around and all that other cliche stuff send out a ripple, get one back, send out a tsunami. Well I think you have some idea as to what Im getting at . So I ask this what if there is actually substance and value to every word, every act, every person etc..? What if there is actual justification for everything under the sun? What if things arent as black and white as they appear?

:D I think:
Nothing is black and white, the older we get. And the older we get or the closer we get to circumstances in our lives that can end our lives, we find ourselves dwelling in the gray zone. Simply because we find that there are varying degrees of black and white. Some days they become muddy and other days they burst through the morning, crystal clear and in their purity of brightness and clarity of color, they become the bugle, the horn of true color. Then, as the days grows onward, the grayness slips back inward and we begin to see both sides of the world. Maybe as the world was meant to be.

Perhaps it is why we have elders that we look up to. They have the ability to see the world in white and black and they are able to transcend into that other world of gray and see ALL colors of the spectrum. And life
