Wow........Reckon I fall into the "Cane Brigade". I enlisted in the Marine Corps Delayed Entry Program April 26, 1982, graduated high school June 1982, and entered active duty on November 2, 1982. It is interesting communicating with veterans who were yet to be born when I enlisted. Shit was all stirred up in the sand box of the Middleast when I enlisted too. Some things never change it seems. I wonder if kids born this year will find war in the same region when they enlist 18 years from now?
March 11 1964 - born to a World War 2 veteran and as such I'm an offical Baby Boomer in the back of the line - although I relate to kids of the following generation more than the BB generation.
And I still have no clue what I want to be when I grow up.
