ok i get it now. thats pretty cool. so the shape that will show up is always next to the #9 and anything that is a multiple of 9.

Ya the sum of the two numbers minus the original number will always be a multiple of 9.

yup. well, except for 0. according to the formula i used, 0 should also work (lets say you pick 8 [which is like 08 for our purpose], so you 08-8=0, and 0-0=0...) but they say only to use 2 digit numbers. if they wanted it to work with 1 digit numbers all they have to do is make the sign near the 0 the same too. but i guess they wanted to keep it from be noticed maybe?

hehe, well what did you expect - a computer program that can really read your mind??... i think it was kinda clever, actually.
there are a lot of funky tricks you can play by taking advantage of the properties of numbers.

It uses a whole set of new cards the second time. You just don't notice it casue you only remember the one card you chose. Example: if you choose all the cards and remember them all, you'll see that none of them will be there. They are all still Kings, Queens and Jacks but swapped suits.
