Many cultures believe food absorbs the energy of the cook’s emotions and environment. Do you think intention and mindfulness while preparing food can genuinely affect its impact on our body and mind?
I was raised in Hindu culture, and in our culture food is not just something to enjoy or energy to function your body, it is also something that can lift you spiritually. I think intention and mindfulness while preparing food can actually affect the person who is eating that food.
That belief runs deep in many traditions, and there’s some truth to it, even if not in a mystical sense. Cooking with calm, care, and good intention can change how we experience food, it feels more nourishing, comforting, and connected.
