Those rumors were dispelled btw. ;)

i know they were ridiciulous to begin with

Supposedly some of the guys planning it stayed in a hotel very near here. I have no proof of that, aside from I trust my source.

As for trusting Canada? Hell no!

:24: I kid... I have nothing but neutral feelings toward Canada...

nothing but neutral = canada...of course that may be better than being an asshole like US :cool

I think some of them stayed in a hotel in Boston. I went there and seen the hotel.

Considering some of you love to take pot shots at Canada here's one for you to kick around.

I remember when this first came to light. It thought it was ridiculous then but it's even more so after the e-mails surfaced. I betcha this won't make the US news channels. :24:

Talk about paranoid or what?

" In the midst of what turned out to be a bogus espionage scare over commemorative coins, senior Pentagon officials in Washington, D.C., speculated whether Canadians — widely considered to be among the United States' closest allies — might be "bad guys" involved in the spy caper."

Linky... linky... CBC News - World - Pentagon emails ask if Canadians are 'bad guys'

I always knew Canadians were a sinister race of people :24: :24:

And as far as the original point of the thread, I'm not really surprised that was tossed around. The Pentagon and especially DIA is paid to be suspicious of everybody...

Its a funny fact of the world but more espionage attempts are made by our allies than by our enemies. The Israelis kinda skew that number a bit but everybody else is tossed in as well.

I started the thread and am not quite sure what the point was. :D

Something else you forgot to mention is that you've had quite a few from within your own ranks. ;)
