I went camping up in Payson this weekend. It was pretty cool! We got out there on Friday night around 8:00pm. Got our tents set up and I noticed the rain guard wasn't in my pack! We watched the weather channel before leaving and it said there were a chance of thunderstorms and scattered showers. So a fellow camper allowed me to use their tarp to cover my tent. I then got loaded off some Guiness. Blared some Pantera and chopped it up with some pretty cool folks and passed out.
Saturday morning comes along and we are goin nutz! We had two quads and this jacked up golf cart with an 8 inch lift and some big mud tires. We were mashing all over this place! Good fun! I was smashin down the road on this golf cart with a beer in my hand and flew right past a forest ranger. LOL this guy stops, and told me to take my cart and go park it! He didnt even make me pour out my beer! Really relaxing. This damn golf cart blew my mind. Everything I thought it wouldnt take, it took. Much much dangerous drunken fun with my buddies.
Saturday night rolls around and this place turns into an ocean. The rain comes pouring down, lightening and thunder across the night sky. Everyones tents got flooded. All our stuff was wet, I had to evacuate and sleep in the Yukon. This morning we broke down camp in the rain and bounced out. Got to Payson and hit up some Denny's and began the hour ride home. We got detoured because of some tanker accident. This detour was gonna take us an hour out of the way, but me and my buddy bought a map and found an offroad path we could take that would get us there faster than the first route we were gonna take. Let me tell you, Arizona can be absolutely breath taking. We took trails up mountains and back down them. The trail was slim, and the incline steep, but my doods Chevy Diesel handled it with no problem. The rock formations and the vegetation lifted my soul. My friend Spyder was in the back with his head covered. We kept fish tailin on the trail and freakin him out. LOL It was a great way to end a great weekend.

The End. :D

That sounds marvelous. Does it really get cold during the Arizona night? What about night animals, do they scurry around the campsite?

Yes, it gets cold in Payson. No animals scurry around camp, but there are elk from time to time. Its high altititude. Very high. Its called the Mogian Rim. Very heavily wooded. Tall pines that tickle the stars at night. :)

Cold to Boomer is the 70s, just like with Sneakie.

I disagree with ya dood! It was about 32 last night and it hailed as well. Plus I was in jeans and T-shirt the whole time. Im very warm blooded. :D
