ah it's pretty easy math, when they guy is making 5 million a year and only has 11 goals...that trade should have happened last year.
We could have gotten a hockey stick taped to a rock in return for Jokinen, I still would be just as happy.

Yup I see that trade that was on hold finally happened.. Calgary is hot to show they are serious about moving players.. But it seems they are moving in the right direction at this time.. Looking at the future and not trying to hack the present at any cost..

Many teams are on the hunt for final position fills to set themselves up for the series..
I know talk in Vancouver is there maybe a trade for one of the good, but fledging players that could be spared.. Problem is Vancouver will not trade if the price is wrong.. This is also a very hard town to play in and many players know this..
If Calgary was wise they would now sit and wait a bit.. Hasty trades make for mistakes.. :willy_nilly:

I will give D.Sutter one thing, and that is he is a trade master.
It's now up to B.Sutter to make them all click as a team.
and the way Iggy has been playing I wouldn't be surprised if he's on the chopping block.
I also wouldn't be surprised if another trade is in the works, D.Sutter has made some cap space. but for what, only he knows.

Are you sure those are the best trades Sutter could have made..
Personally I think he could have gotten much more for Phaneuf. Think Burke looks good on that one.. You may not like Phaneuf, but in the right setting he may break out and be your worse enemy..

Oh probably not the best in return for us, but it does leave him some cap space for (hopefully) a better player. Who knows with Dutter (Short for D.Sutter). That guys always got a pot cooking somewhere.

Seems to be a big kerfuffle about Kotalik. Higgins has arrived in Calgary but Kotalik is still in New York. Dutter says his flight was cancelled out of New York. Other sources are saying he's having immigration paper issues. I SMELL A RAT!!! :eek (or maybe another trade. :ninja)

Yeah all the rumours are running rampant.
Sutter may or may not be setting up for another trade.
He was in Texas the other day so who knows what's going on.
I also heard he had a no trade thingy pertaining to Calgary, EG: He seriously doesn't want to play for us. so maybe he's just a chip for something bigger.
I'm leaning towards Sutter hanging on to all these players so it beefs up the scoring
on all lines.
Only time will tell.

Well, Sutter beefed up the scoring so much with the Panoof trade that the Flames got shut out yesterday. :24::24::24:
