Buyer's Remorse

I hate this about myself but I will readily admit that I am a sufferer of Buyer's Remorse. For those of you wondering what that it, a lot of you may have experienced this yourself but just didn't know that there was a term out there for it lol. I don't have much money. I never have. I have never had reign over much money as far as my independence goes. I don't buy many things. I live a simple life as far as buying things for myself goes, mostly because I can't afford not to.

But when I do buy something, whether i needed it or merely wanted it, then I will often suffer from massive regret that I bought the item. does anyone else experience this?

All the time. I do not have much money to spend, so I'm cautious where I spend it. For example, I'd like to buy myself an XboX 360, but I know that if I buy it I'll get buyer's remorse, and question my decision, and whether or not should I not have bought it. So I just don't end up buying stuff. So to feel good about my purchase I have to be sure that I absolutely need the thing I'll buy, so I don't feel guilty about it. It's all about rationalizing your purchases.

Quite often. I just resolve money is gone I have what I spent it on.

I have a big trouble with buyer's remorse, because I know that I will regret of buying something whether I need or not, hence I try to refrain from buying it because I'm always short of money.

However refraining is not a solution at all because that's fine for items that I don't really need, but for those items that I do I usually end up with another type of remorse, moaning to myself about have not buy them since the necessity arose.

Let me explain, if I need to buy item-x but the price tag says it's money I will regret to spend, I avoid to buy item-x. Even though, after several days or even weeks, I realize that I can't help it, that item-x is superb necessary, then return to buy it but then the price tag is higher or quality is different, if not the item in full, hence I regret for not having purchased it at first

I do this all the time. I have a very bad habit of buying clothes that I will never wear. My closet is full of dresses that I used to wear for a hostessing job, but now I have no need for the dresses. It would be an act from above if I ever got the will to donate or give away my clothes. I guess you could call me a packrat. Not that I'm a messy person, I can never find a reason to get rid of the stuff that I accumulate.

This happens to me often. As a result, I have a lot of items at my home, which I have only used once. Nowadays, since money is a bit harder to come by, I find myself thinking twice about the things I really need. It is amazing how quickly that the thing you need can become the thing that you want and ultimately the thing that you can do without.

I have buyer's remorse over every gift I ever buy anyone. From here on out I feel like I should just make a million cookies a year and hand them out for every occasion. Because you know they are going to get eaten and you can make some gluten free for the complainers of the bunch.

The only time I've ever had serious buyers remorse was when we closed on our house. Such a huge amount of money and a 30 year commitment felt pretty scary. I'm glad we did it now but back then for several months I just kept thinking "What the hell have we done?".

I have it sometimes, but thankfully I've never felt it on any major purchases. Just little things like junky headphones, or worst case scenario a $60 video game, which even then isn't all that much money.

This happens to me too, and I've combated it by just defining what I'd like to do and what items I'd need to be able to do it, instead of it being the other way around. which I think is how most people do it, and probably why so many of them are unhappy.

Let's start a club, because I feel that way all of the time, even when shopping for things that I actually need.

I constantly wait for prices on clothing to go down. Sometimes, I wait so long that the item I'm watching is sold out when it finally reaches a price I think I can live with!

I used to suffer from this really bad, until I married my husband. Then I noticed how easy it is for him to spend money! LOL I don't mean excessively or anything, but if he sees something we need or want, and we have the money to purchase it, then he will buy it. He's told me that, besides paying the bills and the necessities of life, that is what we work for!

Not all the time, but quite often. Even when it's something that I really wanted, my neurosis kicks in and I start regretting the purchase. I guess not having a lot of money doesn't help.

Nope, unless I know I've been shopping a lot lately... I have! I've ordered a couple of things online lately, mostly natural supplements and a couple of things for winter. I think feeling guilty is actually healthy, it's a way to tell you it's time to stop! The buyer remorse isn't something I experience often, unless I know I've shopped way too many things! I don't have a lot cash right now, but there is always an unexpected expense!! In my opinion the buyer's remorse is a very good thing if you're on a budget; try to be positive about it!

I do, all the time! Specially with makeup, which is what I have least control of in my purchases. Somehow I can't seem to spend 50 bucks on some stuff, but for some reason 100 on makeup sounds reasonable to me at the time. It's not until I get home I get a bad buyer's remorse and feel depressed. I think everyone has it to some degree!!

Guys, I think that Buyer's Remorse is a state of mind. Even if I were to become rich I still think that I would suffer from this negative lack-based state of mind. If I was rich then I would be focused on keeping my riches, too scared to lose them, hence why I would regret wasting my riches on something or another. It is really not a fun thing to experience; Buyer's Remorse. I would like to just be able to spend freely and happily.

I never got buyers remorse, possibly because I'm not much of a buyer. I can't recall buying something that I regret to be honest.
