Can be such arseholes. I got on the bus today I was pissing down so I took a little time to put my umbrella down and he didn't hear what I said to him so he disnt print the ticket off right away so it kinda slowed down the transaction. The whole time there is a couple running for the bus who I only saw when I turned to take a seat. They were almost at the door ans the bus driver pulled away. Leaving them standing in the pissing rain. The diver then stops at every stop even though no one is there cos he's ahead of schedule. Why not just let that bloody couple on then?! I could understand if there halfway down the street but cos it took longer than normal for me to get my ticket the couple were at a reasonable distance to be allowed on the bus. I see it a lot. I see them pull away from old frail women who are not quick enough on their feet.

Most bus drivers are cunts. My dad is one and he normally doesn't even let me on for free when I get on his bus.

When I was in middle school I had an asshole bus driver, one time we were at a stop, and this girl is like halfway up the street running for the bus, he sits there and waits for her like he's going to let her on and right as she gets to the bus he shuts the door in her face and drives off hysterically laughing.

:hey Be careful now. My hubby is a bus driver and he is well liked. He even will let some ride for free if it's late at nite and he always waits for people. A bus driver shouldn't be early to stops, they randomly even follow a bus or do so if repeated complaints about a particular driver and if they are early to stops they are reprimanded.

But I'm sorry you two have had bad experiences

I'm not saying all. On the flip side if had a lovely by driver who when I was snowing really heavy could see I wa trying to get to the bus stop but struggling on the ice. So he pulled forward down the road so I didn't have to skate so far. I have however seen alot of cruel drivers. Ppl who pull away before old ladies have taken a seat. Seen that so many times it's not funny.

I had a driver on Monday Morning giving me praise because of my stamina. I had JUST missed the bus and the bus hit a red light so I decided to sprint to the next bus stop, although I got there 15 seconds after the bus arrived it at, he waited for me because he knew how far I had to run to catch it.

They drive a bus for a living. Id be fucking miserable too. Sure you may be a nice person, but imagine all the assholes, bitches and 'bellends' they have to deal with. And chavs, I hear they suck to deal with

I don't use public transportation but if I did I wouldn't expect to be treated very well from a city bus driver

Well I don't know about where you are but the bus drivers up here get paid real well and part of that job involves customer service.
It's a job like most others where you have the assholes and dickheads along with those that are pleasant and friendly.
Its true that the drivers encounter every element of the public along their routes but there is no need for intentional rudeness on any drivers part.

Wow, my bus drivers are nice. I've even made friendships that extend outside of their jobs with a few. A few of them came to my mom's memorial, and the ones that were working sent cards. It meant a lot to me. And they hardly ever check my pass so I've got tons of free rides. I try to keep it updated though, they deserve it.

I've never had a huge problem with a specific driver, but when I lived with my parents we were on an estate that was only a small part of the route, so if they were running late, they'd just skip my estate entirely. It gets old.

I'm lucky at the moment because the bus I get to work and back is on a major route so it's impossible for them to miss me out in either direction.

Yea most are nice. I've rarely had an issue myself I just get annoyed on other peoples behalfs. Like that couple. I felt sorry for them. If i had stalled the bus a little longer they would have got on. It would have cost the driver nothing cos he had to wait at stops anyway to be on time. I get annoyed when old frail people get on tue bus and the diver pulls away before they are seated. I'm young and sometimes struggle to hold my self up when the bus suddenly moves. These people can barely walk. It's sick!

That's because it costs money to run a bus company. He has to run a profit for the bus company and cannot play favorites. :)

Yeah but he lets on large numbers of other people for free but not me because in his words, I'm a "fucking bitch"

Worse than bus drivers is the passengers. I can't count the number of times some silly little chav has been sitting at the back of a bus I'm on, playing music outloud on her phone and worse, trying to sing along. Trust me, you can't sing, and you definitely can't sing on a bus.

It's one of the most inconsiderate things ever but you know if you asked them to keep it down, you'd get a faceful of poorly worded attitude. You just know that these are the kids who sit at the back in class and can't spell even basic words.

Reminds me of one time what happened to me. I was riding a bus into Seattle at about 6 am. I park and rided. I got on and shortly after a man got on and sat next to me. Mind u, the whole bus was open there were probably about 3 others but he deliberately sat next to me. So I was already suspicious. Anyway he started crossing himself, Catholic like. I asked if everything was okay. He said he was trying to avoid temptation. My eyes probably bulged and I excused myself and sat right behind the bus driver.

Yup, sometimes bus riders are odd :D
