Broken bones

Broke my face around the eye sockets and had my jaw reattached. Got screws through the roof of my mouth and between my eyes and wire wound around the eye sockets. Broke several toes and one wrist.

Oh Yah..

First injury was when I was a kid ( 12 or 13 years old ) and I rolled over on my peddle bike at high speed, hit a pot hole that a car forced me into and flipped over the handle bars and broke my shoulder blade bone.. That was 6 weeks of hell. It happened so fast. :mad

When I was in my early 20's I broke my nose playing on a fastball league when the batter whacked a liner right down the middle and into my face as I was the pitcher. It was such a fast bang bang play there was no time to react.

I was 28 and I broke 3 ribs in a car accident. Laughing was the worse thing and it seemed everyone was trying to cheer me up and trying to make me laugh.. GRRR :willy_nilly:

I broke toes twice in my life by hitting tables. You often hit something and don't think they are broken but they are..

At 47 years old I got into another car accident.. A minor one but here's one for you guys that let your kids sit in the front seat. I was not injured at all but as the car came to a stop something hit the front bumper and deployed the Airbag.. The force of the Airbag smashed my face and broke my Cheekbone causing a lot of damage that took two operations to repair. They had to rebuild the eye socket and the TMJ joint. This is a very common injury from Airbags so my surgeon said. Due to the fact I could not open my jaw properly for 8 months, I dropped from 180 lbs to 120 lbs, which for me was very unhealthy.

Ewwww...I can hear the sound of the ball hitting your face, I've been at fastball games where that's happened, both guys ended up in surgery to repair extensive damage.

That's TOTALLY frightening about the airbag...I knew it was bad, but didn't realize just THAT bad.

Yup, that was weird.. The doctor told me if I had not been wearing sun glasses at the time I would have had Boxers Broken nose type of injury that can kill you. Apparently it pushes the bone into the brain.. I was like Eeeeekkk :eek

Yah i looked it up back than and it was really an issue when this happened to me as I guess my vehicle had and older airbag in it..

Here is all I can find today on it, but honestly I would not let my son sit in front of the car like my brother does his.. He has an even older vehicle with older airbags than mine..
