Breaking Records – Still a Big Deal?

Breaking records is still a big deal in sports, entertainment, and even technology. It serves as a tangible marker of achievement, pushing individuals to surpass limitations and inspire others. For athletes, breaking records like Usain Bolt’s sprint times or Michael Phelps’ Olympic golds solidifies legacy and builds global recognition.

There are sports records that an athlete breaks and it becomes a global phenomenon. Records that have existed for generations. When a player breaks it, it is such a big deal. The hype in breaking such records is still electrifying and surreal.

I think a lot of athletes, especially in football (American football, not soccer) are obsessed with breaking records or setting their own records these days.
