Everything seems to turn out better on the grill. :thumbup

Over memorial day weekend I had some London Broil and potatoes that were cooked on the grill. They were fantastic.

Before I remember my dad built a grill. It was mammoth. Had a couple of sections. Was built out of stone and probably about 5 foot wide, three foot deep, and five foot tall. I have no idea what he was thinking.

Anyway I think at first he must of cooked everything on it because I heard stories about breakfast on the grill.

Nothing unusual about grilling a sausage IMO. I would think that would be tasty

So...on the BBQ grill then. If its solid its the BBQ hotplate, if it looks like that one....thats the BBQ grill.

UNDER the grill is in your stove. If we say "grilled" we usually mean inside under the griller in the stove.
Otherwise we say BBQ'd.

And that concludes our "Say it Aussie style" lesson for today.

We call cooking in the oven baking or broiling.... Or the new term "Oven Frying"

Re: Q gril

Cammy we call using only the top element of an oven " broiling ". ie: I'm gunna use my oven to broil a steak.

But the oven and the grill are seperate are they not?

Most people use a frying pan to cook mystery bags.

Not here. We slap em under the grill, prick em with a fork and that way they arent full of fat, coz it all runs off into the fat catcher under the grill bit. I hate snags in a frying pan coz they're sitting in their own fat:yuk

The oven has a burner on the top and the bottom

When you bake you use the bottom one

When you broil you use the top one. Broiling gives a similar result as putting meat on a BBQ

When you broil depending upon the meat you would put it on a rack so the fat drips off.
