Donnie reads quickly but not as often as me. I can't read around Dominic any more. He steals my bookmark and then tries to close the book. I've lost my place far too many times to count. It's great to be friends with teachers. You get all kinds of stuff from them.

Liam sees a book in my hands and starts to babble (he would be completely content on playing with his toes or toys until my book comes out).. I swear he knows it's mommy time.. :willy_nilly:

My aunt used to use a long elastic in her book because her little girl did the same thing..

I hate that book for the sole reason that I had to read it for school. I've hated ever book I've had to read for school except two.

I think Dominic has some sort of book radar. He could be across the room playing and he'll come running if I open one (no matter how quite I am). Scary thing is, he knows which book is Mommy's and which is Daddy's.

He probably loves to have you read to him! ;)

As much as Dominic loves books, he wants nothing to do with being read to. I think it's because he has to sit still for it.

i read one that i think was called the green adventures of tycho (i think), i think it was about this kid that finds a green thing in his yard and pushed a button and he went back in time and fucked shit up, like he sneezed on a dinosaur or some weird shit. I think i read it when i was in 5th grade. I can't even find on google.

nm it was the green futures of tycho...

The main character is Tycho Tithonus, an 11 year-old boy. Each child in his family is named after a famous artist or scientist and their parents expect them to live up to their names. Tycho himself is named after Tycho Brahe, the Danish astronomer (the author also has a brother named Tycho). He finds a pocket sized time machine in the family's garden. He immediately uses it to change some things from the past and to visit the future. But as he travels more and more he realizes that he is turning into something horrible and it becomes a race against time to save all of his family and himself.

weird shit, told ya

Talking about dating oneself and off the top of my head, outside of the complete collection of Dr. Seuss's works, classic fairy tales and poems, I read the Nancy Drew mystery series, The Bobbsey Twins & anything by Judy Blume & Roald Daul. I also liked comic books and Tiger Beat & Mad magazines.
