OH MY GOSH! I'm so glad someone made this thread!

My all time favorite book growing up The Scary Book. I must have read it a thousand times!

I loved Willard Price's Adventure series of books - they were fantastic for me when I was a kid as I always wanted to be an explorer as a little 'un.

Enid Blyton, hell yeah! I was more a fan of the Famous Five though, it was one of those things, you were either Blur or Oasis, Beatles or Rolling Stones, Secret Seven or Famous Five.

Famous Five for me too.

On a separate note - I also loved the Magic Faraway tree series. They were probably my favourite Enid Blyton books of those that I read.

I can remember none of my own from before reading "To Kill A Mocking Bird" when I was 10

I had to read that for some English class thing at school too. Superb book of course.
