what's your informed opinion of Blackwater, delta?
To be perfectly honest, I don't know any more than you guys. I did meet several of these "contractor" types though, and they won't say who they work for. When I was on guard duty at the gate to Camp Fallujah, a couple of humvees with these badass lookin dudes in em would go heading out most every day. Definitely not military, too much facial hair and whatnot, plus most of em were pretty damn old. They'd always stop and shoot the shit with us for a few minutes. Then they'd roll out, and as soon as they got a few hundred yards out of our line of sight, they'd test-fire a couple rounds into a berm beside the road. Scared the shit out of us every single time. Unexpected gunfire is never good gunfire.

And I'll say this. I never saw any regular military types go out in a two vehicle convoy. Those guys are either retarded or good.

They are more flexible than regular military types, since they do not have to abide by any sort of international or local law. They answer to no one, really. Most of the are ex-military, law enforcement or otherwise.

Question is, did they come back? If they did, then I'm DEFINITELY voting for the latter. fo SHO!

All things equal, if I could make a hunnert and a half to two hunnert, I think it'd be a badass job.

Guns, armor, paramilitary ops and no accountability? Sign my ass up!

Yeah, but the price for failure is your corpse strung up under a bridge. True story.

On our government? Sheeeiiittttt...nobody could pull that off.

I heard a comedian talking about the 2nd Amendment a while back, and how one of the main points of pro-gun people is we need them to overthrow the government if need be. He said something like "That was written when we had muskets and they had muskets. Now we have rifles and pistols, and they have attack helicopters and fighter jets." I laughed :D

just storm the whitehouse without warning......get government to meet your demands....walk out a free man cos that was one of the demands

Do you guys think the regular military would pay these guys to do missions that maybe "bend" the rules of engagement or international law?

Well, think of all the things you wanted to do but were held back by engagement rules and laws.
I can't see the military swallowing it's pride/ego and hire these guys to do something like that. I think the military would rather rely on it's Special Forces/Black Ops to do these types of things.

State Department/CIA/etc, maybe.
