This article reminds me a lot of the speech that Bill Cosby made two years ago or so. It wasn't well received either.

Right, but Bill actually made good points...he berated those who do nothing, belittled those who support them and praised the few who dared to make a difference. He's a man who tries to help all people, and for that he tends to be hated by the people he scolds.

That wasn't the point of his speech at all. He was trying to tell people that they need to help themselves out of the ghettos and projects, because no one else is going to. He was telling the men to be men and fathers, to set the precedence if you will because their fathers failed them, and they shouldn't bestow that fate upon their children.

I can see that same reaction happening here. Especially when the article labels urban black mentality as the Black KKK.
I'm not sure if I agree with everything he says, but he does make some compelling points. Racist or not, I think he is trying to do what he thinks is right for a community he identifies with and that's commendable.

Right, I think anyone that comes up with options and solutions rather than just complaining with nothing else to offer other than the sound of their voice, is worth their weight in gold in this day and age.
Right, that's what he was saying to them, blame your problems on yourself, not anyone else. You're responsible for you, no one else!

you'll find it hard to get rid of black on black crime in america.......especially when you've got huge gangs and what they do glamourised by the top rappers.....at the end of the day....get rid of the gun in your constitution and the murder drops dramatically

Racism is the belief that your race or another race is superior to all others. I've met self hating blacks before.

I think the media on both sides capitilize on this, they sensationalize race.
For instance, they now can call the death of a certain race, or belief system at the hands of another a hate crime.
If you ask me, you have to be pretty full of hatred/rage to kill anyone no matter what the circumstances are.
In that respect murder is a hate crime wether it be white killing white, black killing white, white killing black, straight killing gay etc.
BUT the propaganda machinehas found one more way to profit from us hurting one another and instigating more resentment and hatred.

Why can't it just be said "crime", not "black on black crime"
When the Latino gangs in and around L.A. are fighting, no one says "Latino on Latino crime".
