Wow! This is crazy. I was going to try and go this year but things like this make me say never mind. I probably can find some good deals online so I think that's what I will do.

They had a scene like that on The Middle this week that was pretty funny. But yeah, it can be brutal out there. So not worth it to me.

It seems to be crazier and crazier each year. Just when you think it can't get any crazier, there is something new. My local news reported a week ago that in some Best Buy locations, people were already camping out in front of the stores. This makes me wonder a couple of things. One, don't these people have jobs they need to be at? Two, what's so important to buy that they need to start waiting in line that early? I'm also disturbed by the greed involved, not only from customers but from retailers. The fact that many retailers will be open Thanksgiving Day is disturbing.

Well it's understandable because the prices drop a lot and people want to avail it.
In Portugal there's nothing compared to it, unfortunately, because I would definitely take advantage! :p

That's actually not Black Friday shoppers... that's a new store that opened up in some country that had a tv heavily discounted on it's first opening day and people stormed the place.

But yeah, Black Friday shoppers are crazy. I know - I have to work as a cashier in retail on that day and if I don't, I generally shop that day. I almost cried last year during the whole shopping experience when I saw older guys shoving young kids/teens to the floor in order to get a discounted dvd even though it had a ONE HOUR guarantee of being in stock. It was ridiculous.

Yes people get crazy during Black Friday. Especially now that 'Black Friday' starts on Thanksgiving night. I went Friday afternoon last year and was still able to score some awesome deals with a lot less people to worry about!

I totally agree. I know there are some sales and stuff... but people actually get trampled to death on this day for sheer greed over receiving their material item at a lower price. I really think it is a bit pathetic, although I can see why so many are after the bargains... but to me it just sums up the whole material-oriented nature of their thinking.

I agree. That is the reason I try to stay away from the crowd. I remember a few years back when I went to Macy on Black Friday, there were two guys fighting over a purse. I thought that was insane. People are aggressive on the Black Friday sales.

I personally have never gone shopping on Black Friday and from the looks of it I wouldn't want to go either!

I don't see why people have to go so crazy! I will stick to shopping online from the comfort of my own home LOL :)

So does anybody know of any good Black Friday deals? A lot of webstores have great offers during this event, but this year I haven't seen any apart from Amazon!

That is exactly why I don't go shopping on Black Friday. You can still find good Black Friday deals online and it's much safer.

Black Friday shopping is nothing but a death trap to me. The last time I went to Best Buy on black friday was truly regretful. I was about 80 people back and what I saw was unbelieveable. You had people pushing and shoving people on the ground. Then you had others just stepping right on the people and in some cases literally kicking them out of the way. I even saw people fight over the last TV that someone had already bought.
