I am inviting a friend of mine over tonight for her birthday. What would be something good to fix for dinner? Any ideas?

Depends on what one of her favorite meals are.

If you had me over and fixed fried chicken, mashed potatos/gravy, and corn/peas... I'd love you forever and ever, and into eternity.

Are you sure you're not a Southerner James? I think I would have to add some fried okra and make sure the peas are of the black-eyed variety. And cornbread. Oh, and hot sauce... lots of hot sauce. Texas Pete is some good stuff!
Man, I'm hungry now.

Man, I'm hungry now.

It's all in the way my mom makes it. It was, by far, my most favorite meal growing up.

I'd basically fill a plate up with chicken, a huge mound of potatoes and smother it all with gravy, then I'd plop the corn (or peas) right into the potatoes.

and then my skinny ass would go back for seconds and I'd end up licking the plate clean. :lol
I just ate lunch, and I'm starting to drool here... damnit.

Hm. Dinner, eh?

I'm possibly the worst person to feed, since I'm basically vegan (vegetarian and lactose intolerant! I win at life!)

So, I'd have to say... mushrooms or zuchinni (grill them on the bbq--sooooo good!) and I dunno. The meat of your choice. The general consensus seems to be chicken. Corn is good summer food, too. :dunno

Someone made a vegeterian lasagna for me on Friday, holy shiot that was good, I couldn't imagine lasagna without some sort of hamburger or sausage but damn it was great!
