So, normally I don't get into hoaxes and/or stupid publicity stunts. It demeans the effects of real mysteries and things like that. But this is really bugging me. I haven't seen any of the commercials, posters, etc. But I have started looking into this. One of the theories is based on the YouTube video, which involves child abuse. Maybe "the 26" are 26 victims of child abuse.
If "the 26" are 26 victims of child abuse, here's a theory. Most serial killers in the past, Bundy, Dahmer, Gein, they are usually victims of child abuse.
How do we know this isn't some group of serial killers? I mean, we wouldn't know they were killers, so we can't force them to reveal themselves.
Now, that sounds a bit radical, 26 killers, so here's my honest opinion.
Maybe some loser saw the new Zodiac movie and is now a copycat Zodiac, and plans to kill 26 people. I mean, this makes sense. Just pay attention.
The Zodiac left cryptic messages for the SFPD to decipher. All the websites concerning "Beware the 26" have the phrase The entire campaign is based around the cryptic phrase, "Beware the 26."
The Zodiac's confirmed number of killings was 6. Add 6 to 26, you get 32. In one of his letters, the Zodiac claimed that he had killed a total of 32 people, but that only 5 had been found so far.
Maybe we've got some psycho Zodiac copycat on our hands. But doubtful.
Here's a more reasonable explanation. The font for the logos looks like the font from Halloween Horror Nights. How do we know this isn't some Halloween Horror Nights-related thing?
The Beware The 26 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia page at Wikipedia gives a bit more information.
But whatever this stupid shit is about, I'll tell you one thing. I hope it's something good. I mean, the people are saying they are going to release the meaning of "Beware the 26" on April 1st of this year, which is April Fool's. If this is some stupid-ass prank, I'll be pissed off.

A bit fishy, considering the last virus I had on my computer was called "win32fix". Just a coincidence?
But that's all I'm looking up for now. Too much confusion for me.
