the sun begins to sink
and you wither away
lying in bed
with white bottles exposing
white sleeping pills
and the dishes are piled up
and the clothes are dirty
and the dogs are barking
and the lights are flickering
and the cars drive by
and the rain and its
drip drip dripping
all night long
you can’t sleep
or think

and the rain is outside
pounding on your window
klling all the spiders
drowning all your thoughts
you finally start
to fade away
into another set of those awful fever dreams.
