Yes he was, he has been for years and is an elder (preacher) in their religion, almost converted Cliff Richard too, probably would have done if JWs didn't hate gays.

Oh, and before anyone brings it up, Michael Jackson was never a full Jehovahs Witness. He got to be a publisher (semi- Jehovahs Witness) but got booted out when he made Thriller, (apparently Jehovahs Witnesses are prejudice against monsters too!)
