I can't really do much about those unless I take them out completely because they are in the background. Unfortunately that's part of photography one doesn't have any control over unless they are prepared to completely alter the shot ion an editor. That's something I'm not prepared to do. If the conditions are right I prefer to do it with the camera and my positioning. Unfortunately in this case I couldn't because of the terrain around me. Even parts of the ducks are not completely in focus and that sucks. Initally I posted the shots in a different thread because they are so unique and colorful. In this thread I was just fooling around because I was bored, I didn't like the gray background and I felt I couldn't bugger up the shot more than it was to start with.

I prefer blue skies too although I generally leave mine unedited. I think I did "blue sky" a picture of some blossom trees in my yard where it was a really drab sky. No one could tell what was done on the edited picture - has to be believable as you say.

Of yours, I prefer the second edited picture as per AB - it looks very nice. :thumbup

To me, in the tree branch/twig in the first edited picture that is out of focus - it does seem as though it's been 'placed' there. The edges look as though they're from another pic and in a sense that's true because they fit with the drab sky from the original pic, hence those edges don't quite fit the edited version. IMHO!

I like the gray/white sky better too. Great editing though. The first after looks perfect to me.

I like the first one with clouds better than the second with clouds, the second clouds don't look as real. Good effect though

I think exactly the same thing. It looks much more natural. As for the other one well.. I just did it that way to show what can be done and the difference. It's easy enough to change it now if I want 2. :clap
