I'm one for loyalty and this girl in my eyes is a trader...
She wasn't good enough to make the US olympic team on her first try so she goes and signs up to play basketball for a russian team gauranteeing a spot on thier national team.
She became a naturalized citizen in order to play...
but to me it's stupid because she had her shot later after 2006 but said she couldn't play for the US basketball team because of contract obligations?
Thinks makes no sense to me...She is supposidly one of the best basketball players in the WNBA but team USA didn't see her as a complete player/team player....So she jumps ship and plays for another country...
I'm not saying Russia is the US's enemy in no way but isn't it okay in my mind to betray your country and play for another team the USA womens team doesn't have an age limit look at Lisa Leslie she's 38 and still playing in the olypics so she would of had another chance damn if she waited she probably would have gotten on the team on the second stage of tryouts but she jumped ship too soon and now i'm booing her.
I thought the whole point of the Olypic games was to show your countries pride and help them win...
She should be banned from the US in my opinion well maybe not so harsh but you can assure yourself one thing I live in San Antonio the place where she plays WNBA and I'm on the radio daily so I'll let the people in my city know whats on my mind about this girl..
