major league baseball is almost too good for instant replay. the old boy network allows for things just as this. the integrity of the game is that things happen in the blink of an eye and they can be missed. this game can be killed because of this. until recently MLB used human judgment to make their decisions. but i remember in game six of the 2004 ALCS where they had two "conferences" on two very game changing moments. why didn't they do that tonight?...once again, judgment call...and that ump will be labeled for the rest of his life as the one who let one slip away. and you can be assured that Detroit will not let him forget either. and the pitcher of the Tigers, said he forgave him for his blown call, class act.
