When you shop for the grocery shopping, do you go for deals like 2 for the price of 1 etc...or don't you bother with them?

I must admit I do, especially on the ice cream :p

Yeah I take the 2 for 1 offer if it's available, or 3 for 2 or whatever.

While I'm there that is, I don't say "Oh I'll have to go there for that offer"

We do the bulk of our grocery shopping at Walmart & Sam's Club. We will visit Publix and look for bargains such as 2 for 1. I will buy a bargain in somethings but I will not scrimp on paper products like toilet paper and paper towels.

I <3 deals! 10 for 10s at Kroger are good, and BOGOs...I wish I had the resilience for couponing but I sure don't.

I go for deals too. However, it depends if it's worth it or if it's something that I really 'need' :D

I am careful with sales/deals at times as there are those that will say you save this or that! But when one's really aware of the original price, it really isnt. Some stores have tendencies at times to cheat (change the original price) and lure customers to buy into deals that aren't worth it :ninja

I don't do it for everything, except for ice cream it is only the essentials that helps

I prep at home so I know which store has it cheaper at the three I go to most often. And then I see if the store the doubles coupons will wind up at a lower price than the commissary which is cheap but doesn't double. I don't buy things that aren't on my list, regardless of how good the deal is, and on most things I just choose whichever brand is cheaper.

I use coupons and look for bargains, but I won't buy something I don't use or need, even if I have coupons..
My supermarket doubles coupons up to $1, and sometimes have specials where you buy 1 and get 2 free,
so I always save those $1 coupons for those occasions.
I also do my homework when the ads come in the mail, and plan my shopping trip..

I went food shopping today and got a few buy one - get two free.. and buy one -get one..
My total was $127.86... after my coupons, I ended paying a grand total of $11.34 :D:thumbup

Wooooooooo Hooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

I tend to stock up and the 2 for1 things if they are things we use.. Just because it's a good deal, I won't buy something if I don't use it.

Nope.

A lot of deals seem to be for stuff I don't want or need, and the companies just rope you into buying more than you intended.

My local Winn Dixie runs BOGO meat every week. It's how we all eat good :)

I go to Publix if I want Boars Head lunch meat, anything from their bakery or Paul Newman's line. Sweet Bay gets my business if I want a Purdue whole roaster chicken (they are awesome!) or need my catbox liners.

But I am a Winn Dixie girl. I save major money there every time I shop. If they sold the items I listed above, I'd never go anywhere else.

If it's a BOGO I use, I stock up. If not, no. Unless I really want to try the product.

Lucky you!.. I haven't seen Boars Head since I moved from NYC.. :(
Lucky for me, I'm not one for much lunch meat, but I would love to find some of that around here..

... But I am a Winn Dixie girl. I save major money there every time I shop..

Never saw one of those.. I think they are only in the south..
We used to have five supermarkets in this area. They all went out of business.. the last Super Fresh - owned by the A&P company-, closed two weeks ago.. :(
Now we only have one Acme -which is Albertson's in other places-, and is expensive!... :eek

I think I'm moving in with you and Poopa very soon.. :D

If it's a BOGO I use, I stock up. If not, no. Unless I really want to try the product.

That is one of the secrets of using coupons.. and if you don't use something, don't buy it..

I cut and select all my coupons, even the ones for diapers or other baby stuff, and any others I know I won't be using.. When I'm walking around in the market, I leave them on the shelf, next to the products, because I know someone could use the savings..

Sometimes, when I see someone buying things without a coupon, I will give them one of mine. I did that today, and the lady ended up getting her cereal for free.. you should have seen her eyes and smile!!..

It made my day!!.. :)

Is that why coupons are on the shelves sometimes? I just figured it's because someone decided it wasn't a good deal after all. I did find some once I used. I was excited!

The hardest part for me is not buying things I don't need, but if I find something free or with overage (where the coupon is worth more than product), I get it. It helps my percentage. How lame is that?
