Too close to left edge tho. (Amt of space as in current one top of page is fine).

Tim, who's doing these banners for you? Are you doing them yourself? They look very professional.

I do prefer the words where you can read it without twisting your neck to read it. How about doing something decorative to the edges, perhaps some type of border, or even scalloping it or making it look like a wave? (If that makes sense)

It's me... I love working in Photoshop when I get the time.

I thought about a border, but I would have to keep it to the left since it won't stretch across the screen in the fluid version and would be cut off.


If you notice on the address bar in your browser, there is a little green and whit O that matched the O in OffTopics in the old version. That is the site Favicon, I can make that anything I want. So it would be nice to have some type of logo where I can grab a Favicon out of it and it make sense...

That's why I kept the O like I did...

I like that "O". How about maybe making it look like a sun cradled on the moon shape...to kinda look like day and night, if you can do that and still retain the look of the letter "O"?

I'm impressed. I thought maybe you had a professional graphic designer buddy that was doing them for you.

Out of all of them tho so far, I still prefer the new one you have as the banner right now.
It has all the elements of the crisp feel. I like the configuration and the choice of typestyle and colour. Also the reflection.

Oh good - asked if this was going to poll yesterday - glad it is.

This one's good - maybe the word Offtopicz' in smaller font may be better? This is great though Dana.

i personally think the glow looks cheesy. I tried fooling with it. I appreciate the help.

what do u think about this? i made the cut out people smaller and raised the planet a bit. Made Offtopicz a little smaller and made it look less cramped.

I prefer the glowing ppl, but bit smaller with more of the globe showing as was mentioned by someone else too^^^^ I don't think it looks cheesy at all, it brings it out more I think.

since Tim quoted the one with the water mark, i added it back with a less defined outline.

I wonder if we should try to come up with a good trademark for the site first and build from there... Up until this last update, the site trademark (If you wanted to call it that) was that green and white O. I used it for the Favicon, Icons to show new posts, Section Bullets, etc.

So if we can come up with a unique trademark image, we can incorporate it throughout the site for a more professional feel... like we know what we are doing.
