No, it's just baptising. I don't know who made up "christening".
a christening is the ceremony of baptizing and naming a child. that why i said wedding is to christening as marriage is to baptized.
i was baptized too but i don't think it shows yet 
i was never baptized. it was left up to me to pick a religion and i never pic one. doesnt mean i dont believe in god. just certain things from different religions i agree with and dont agree with so i just cant see picking one.

As for the whole Christening/Baptism debate...it usually simply depends on what church you attend. Most Catholics and a few other religions use the term, 'Christening', and the majority of others use 'Baptism'. It's really just a preference issue.

i was left to have the same choice haus...course like you i didn't pick one nore will I just because I find it extremely difficult to believe in it when i look at the history of religion.
