Just wanted to see everyones input on this. Tim and I had talked about names but haven't really decided anything yet. I know we don't want anything common like Jim, John, Mike etc. but we don't want anything off the wall like Arcamedius. We want something that's not really common, but you don't hear the name too often.

I think the best one that we came up with so far and that we actually agreed on was Logan...but I'm still not set on it completely.

Any ideas?

I like Umaru. It means joy. I met a guy volunteering called like that, loved it
I also love Nathan, I think I have to call my boy that if I have one.

To me, it really depends on what your last name is, and if you have a particular 2nd name picked out.

I know I let my son's father pick out one of his 2 names .. and then I picked out the other one. I used my last name, since we weren't married, and I chose something I thought blended well when you said all 3 names together at once.

Turned out I used the name he chose as his first name, and my name 2nd. But we call him by the name I chose. Phillip Drake :D.

Gawd I loved this part. I still have the list of names that I brainstormed when I was pregnant. I wrote them on a dinner ticket while I was working (as a waitress at the time)

A few suggestions.

Milo
Nathaniel
Toby

I had a bunch more, but i forgot them.

Umaru is just a little too much for me.

And nathan is another common name for me

:D thanks. I thought it was kinda neat, and you don't see it a lot. My name is so generic and over used. I wanted to be SURE his wasn't lol. But I didn't want it to be a weird name either. I can still find personalized stuff with his name on it, sometimes.

We're looking for a "d" name that no one else in the family has but most of the slightly more common ones are taken. Plus, in all my volunteering/schoolwork, I haven't had a student with that name.

yeah that's what i want...something that you just don't hear. And if he's in a classroom and his name is mentioned, there wouldn't be 20 other kids with that same name.
