Nice landscape shot. I like reflections on water too :nod:
I agree with PP re: B/W and AA made a point re: cropping and leading your viewer's eyes to the beauty/ main focus of that scenery. What I have learned so far about landscape shots is the effective use of 'foreground'.
In this shot, i think the reason why the viewer's eyes stops at the reflection & being distracted by the ripples (which i don't think there's anything wrong as it's 'natural' as was mentioned if it's windy) is coz the foreground with that big black shadow at the bottom of the pic doesn't do justice to let your viewer's eye focus towards the beauty of the trees and clouds. With that large foreground, one's eyes doesn't flow smoothly towards the trees and clouds hence cropping it after that big shadow might work while still maintaining that nice reflection. Just a suggestion of course.
