B.C. Mountains

I drove 5 miles up a mountain this morning to shoot these pictures because I couldn't get the creature shots I wanted. If you look at the first shot you'll see a highway and a resort in the bottom portion of the shot. It's a very long way down. In that same shot you'll see a pile of really big rocks. The shots that follow the first one are those same big rocks.

Manning Park and on a long weekend too boot. The traffic was horrendous with cops everywhere pullin' them bloody speeders over.

The second one is my favorite. I dunno why but I really like dark mountain shots with lots of black clouds around.

Yah the hairdryers ( Radar ) are out in force for next weeks back to school.. They were behind trees here today.,. :24:

I like the first photo myself.. If I see mountains I want lots of snow on them..

I've always been afraid of such large places..... like mountains and canyons and standing where you see nothing but land or water as far as the eyes can see. It makes me feel so small and insignificant. Vulnerable.

Sure is awesome though.

The nice thing about places I go is civilization isn't very far away. In places like that I try to stay on the beaten path because there could be big bears hiding around the next bend awaiting a meal and I don't want to be said meal. Matter of fact they had a warning sign up at the " resort " area stating a bear had been recently sighted. I would like to get a nice shot of a bear in the wild but I ain't going out of my way to get it if you know what I mean.

On my way to school, there are a few scenic overlooks as you drive over the mountain. I've been meaning to take my camera, but always forget!

The 28 - 135mm for the first shot and then the 150 - 500mm for the closer in shots of the big stones which would be all the ones that followed.

Perhaps you should elaborate. I like when a big fine man elaborates to me. Makes me feel so much more secure and safe. And knowledgeable. Yes. That's the ticket. A gal needs to know things. That's on a Guyz mind.... so to speak.
