I agree. I just couldn't see what the fuss what about. Few movies have bored me as much as Avatar did and then the constant chit chat about how great it was drove me mental. Did they watch the same movie I did?

Science fiction adventure must not be your cup of tea. What genre excites you? :)

Whether you like it or not, this is a ground breaking film, a technical achievement. Creating a living breathing photo realistic world is an amazing feat. And it deserved the Oscar for cinematography hands down.

I loved Avatar when I saw it in the theater in 3D. The special effects took over my normally rational mind that would have seen the dull, repetitive story line. Once I rented it, and watched it on my humble screen, I realized that it wasn't worth all the hype. I was actually so bored when I watched it at home that I didn't watch it the whole way through. Fern Gully is better :cool
