Yup.... You're now challenging me which won't help, I've work in the next few days and I'm a quick reader, also wondering what is so controversial about it wants me to dig deeper

Sam... what political system was Ayn referring to at the beginning of Anthem??? I found it weird that they kept saying 'we', also the names of the people were odd, also how they chose what destiny you have...

I also got a sense of rebirthing in a man's spirit when I read further... is that a theme in atlas too?

Ayn was born in Russian and it plays a major role in her writing. She is vehemently anti-Communism.

IMO

The reason she is controversial is she is against a statist system. That is a bit simplistic but she is for self above the system. I have not read anything about her but I know the US liberal thinks she is a kook. Kind of brings to mind Ron Paul
