I bet the snake took responsibility for his actions. Are you saying we should all be like Satan?

:jk

In a sense, yes. We need to grow some balls and stop allowing ourselves to get so distracted. All we end up doing is passing the buck. Satan loves it when we place blame everywhere except where it belongs.

So should god accept responsibility for letting all the bad things happen in his world, and not blame it on our free will? I mean, he DID create us and how we think. Hmmm.

You didn't answer my question. If this girl was religious like everyone else, would she have received the same discrimination?

Certain mental factors and beliefs DO take part in wrongs people do. A racist is far more likely to commit a crime against another race than a person who is not racist, because of their racial beliefs. A fundamentalist religious person is far more likely to do the same against another faith because they have a religious backing behind their motives. It's pure elementary psychology.

I did answer your question. You are failing to understand my answer.

Mental factors do take part in wrongs people do. If we are not blaming it on religion we are blaming it on racism, sexism, etc. Bottom line is it is the condition of man's heart and his inhumanity to humanity. This exists with or without religion.

i actually don't think that's a good argument. the all-powerful all-benevolent definition of God is a technicality, that has obvious flaws. there are plenty of christians that don't believe in that definition. or predestination for that matter.

what grace was saying was that we need to hold ourselves accountable for our actions, because we have free will. i agree with that.

im not saying religion is a good thing, but we should value our ability to take responsibility for our actions.

But if religion is the main reason why someone is discriminated against then why shy away from saying religion was the motivating factor, and therefore the main reason why the person was discriminated against?

You may have a bleak outlook on a human's heart, I don't blame you, religion NEEDS to tell you that you are bad so theres a reason to follow it, but I don't. I think people are born naturally good. It's human inventions like money, religion, materialism and the like that corrupt us.

So what about this:

So should god accept responsibility for letting all the bad things happen in his world, and not blame it on our free will? I mean, he DID create us and how we think. Hmmm.

Then they are ignoring what half of the bible tells them.

Thank you for clearly reading posts.

Yes, we must hold ourselves accountable, and the things we believe in that motivate us to do things. We do things because we believe that our actions will achieve something, and we achieve something with what we believe in

I can promise you that if you that if you ask any Islamic fundamentalist why they partake in violent actions they did it for Islam or Allah.

I personally believe people are born neutral and can sway to either side, based on how they are raised. Maybe I play too much KOTOR and Fable, though....
