I ask because when I'm out partying/clubbing these days everyone looks really young: 17/18. I'm only 23, but that's still 5 years older than most these people! Wondering if I'm getting too old to party now? Maybe it's time to act more like an "adult".

What do you think?

Well it depends on what kind of partying you're talking about. I still like to go out and have a good time and I'm 32, but then again I'm not going to clubs where I know a lot of younger people will be.

Yeah I feel this :ninja I'm 25 and most of my friends are that or older. One of my best friends is 30 even. We went out clubbing recently but damn, sometimes you're looking at these kids thinking 'shit, I'm almost a decade older than you'.

Most of the time we end up going to the pub instead haha. When I was eighteen we used to giggle at all the women who were over 40, wearing what they obviously thought was sexy gear, dancing to all the eighties tracks and being a bit too loud. Now that I'm a little older, I'm very wary of not being one of those women :p

Couldn't agree more, I'm the youngest in my group aswell and most the time we just do a pub crawl. But as soon as we hit a club it's like wow! Nowadays, what with fake ID's and stuff you can get 15/16 year old girls getting into clubs drinking!

A friend of mine is 26 and goes to the bar EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT.
It's really kind of sad.

You're never ever to old to go out and have a good time, imo, but the bar multiple times per week every single week looks sad to me but it's surely none of my business.

I remember being not much more than your sort of age Joey with my friends all similar ages. We'd go to the student union official dos every week and look at the kids and wonder if we were far too old too.

However, as long as you're enjoying yourself - carry on regardless of what peers and so on think. Life is too short to worry too much about everything.

Partying? I still hit the clubs and I'm almost 32. While you can't drink here at 18, I get what you mean.

nah 23, youre still good to party your ass off so long as you handle your business!

IMO you probably need to sit back and see where you are going to hang out and maybe decide to move up in the age category of clubs LOL

As long as you're hanging with people your own age and not letting it effect your responsibilities then you're never too old to party.

Re: At What Age Is It Uncool To Be Parting All The Time?

There is a night club in my area that's open on Wednesday of all nights and while 18 year olds can't drink, it is an 18+ night, everyone under 18+ is pushed off to one side of the club as to not being able to have acess to the bar and the dance floor because of its central location is "guarded" by bouncers so that anyone under 21+ cannot sneak through. My friend who is my age always wants me to go and I always feel like we're the oldest people up in there even on the drinking side.

I know a guy that is at the clubs all weekend long, and he's in his mid-30s... so I think you're good. ;)

If your 30+ and can handle your booze then go for it, I am 28 and if I wasn't married I would be out most weekends, but you also go to pick your bars, some are teenage meat markets, that would make even a 20 year old would feel ancient

If you don't have responsibilities like kids then I don't see any reason to stop partying. Life is a party...do it right the first time if ya can!

I'm 25 and the couple people I go out with are my age (my best friend is 30 but I will exclude her from this now she doesnt live in the country) and I go to places where there are people around my age, give or take a few years either side. Ive been to places and thought "man, I feel.old in here" so moved on. It usually means going to the same places but I have a good time so I dont have an issue with it. I probably go out once every 6 weeks or so but thats cos I have to work some weekends and I dont like wasting every weekend I have off with a hangover.

Thats exactly how I'm starting to feel, although it doesn't overly bother me! I often feel like I'm one of the oldest in the club, despite only being 23! Might have to start hitting the clubs more towards the top of town "upper class" so to speak!

On a positive side it's great to see everyone still likes to party beyond there "teenage years" :p

I am not sure if there is an age. I have seen folks in thier mid 40's look just as at home, as those just barely turned 21.

I guess the age where it truly becomes un-cool would be when you start feeling uncomfortable.
