Guys do not always look all neat and proper every day either. I don't think it's any different. There should be no reason why women have to wear make up every single day unless they want to. It's society that has trained people to think it's natural for a woman to wear make up everyday. I do wear make up every day, but most days it is only mascara and frankly that's because I'm a redhead and look like I have NO eyelashes if I don't wear mascara lol. That being said, I mainly do it because I don't want to waste more of my make up when I don't need to wear the whole shebang every day.

I never cared if they wore any or not. Sure don't like it when it is over done. Most girls that worked for me smelled better than the guys.
ok...so your argument is that women wear makeup to "catch" a man and thus we should continue once we get yall????
the opposite could be said that men open doors, do small things (love note, flowers, etc) till ya "catch" us women, and that falls by the wayside as well.
but onto the makeup thing. i agree with tash that makeup tends to break my skin out more. also if i get up late, in the words of sweet brown...aint nobody got time for that! LOL

My question is why? is it lack of time? some ulterior motive? just plain lack of motivation?
Some men will open doors quite often but I also think its a simple sign of courtesy and should come in as an instinct... that is until the nagging begins! Once the nagging begins most men will definitely stop with the chivalry shit

Sometimes it DOES come down to lack of time. When I have a choice between sleeping in an extra 15 minutes or straightening my hair, a lot of times the extra sleep will win. Now, if I'm going out w/ friends, I will ALWAYS do makeup (unless it's just me and one friend going to the $2 theater, LOL). For me, working in public safety, the rumor mill churns enough on it's on. If I came into work everyday wearing makeup w/ my hair done up I can guarantee you that w/in 2 weeks it'd be all over the county that I'm trying to hook up w/ an officer or something.
Not if you dont give them a reason to believe that - Not saying you would but the whole deal about rumors and shit is that if you dont give people the reason to believe that, then there would be no rumors...
Not even the least bit true. Let me give you some examples.
1) I was fucking my friend, Mark, b/c my Myspace profile picture was of me and him together, hanging out drinking (nevermind that the picture was taken by his girlfriend at the time, LOL).
2) I was fucking my friend, Jimmy, b/c I did a ridealong w/ him one night and we checked a secluded area for a common problem w/ people riding ATVs on private property.
3) I was fucking my friends, Brandon and Jesse, b/c I would go hang out w/ them at their house and drink w/ them (this one I can understand, somewhat, b/c of their reputations).
That's just off the top of my head. Most of them didn't bother me b/c all the guys were single. When the rumors became married men, then they're fucking w/ someone's relationship, and that's when I got pissed.
And, for the record, I never did anything more than hug any of those guys listed above. Wait...I forgot...Brandon did grab my hand and put it on his crotch in the parking lot of a bar one drunken night, but he did it in a joking manner.
lol ill give you that paramedics, firefighters and police jobs are quite possibly the biggest rumor mills out there...
please! if your partner is a guy, others will assume that something is going on.....hell some will start the rumor mill even if your partner is a woman!
In a span of 1 week, at the height of my featured time in the rumor mill, I was fucking 5 different police officers AND was a lesbian.

I've actually wrote up a quick report about make-up and women (for a comp class a while back) and it really comes down to psychological things. There are many reasons why women wear make-up and an ulterior motive is not the reason for a lot (I don't want to say all because there are some ladies out there that do it I'm sure). Reasons can be anything from it helps her feel more confident, she wants to accent a certain feature, it makes her have a younger appeal, and of course to cover blemishes when needed. As you can see it has more to do with the woman herself as opposed to others. A lot also has to do with the way we are trained in today's society, we get told we look sloppy if we go out into public with out make-up...etc.
I wear mascara on my eyes as a confidence thing, I don't feel like I look nice without mascara so I wear it all the time. I,also, like to get dolled up when I go out because I don't do it at home often, so it's fun to do when I get out with friends. I know in my case I'm not wearing make-up to trick some guy into wanting me because, like previously mentioned, I usually get dolled up just to go out with friends. When I go out with friends it's usually to the bar and I don't pick up guys at the bar. So in the end, not all women have an ulterior motive by wearing make-up vs not wearing make-up in my opinion.

I wear makeup everyday. Also, I do my hair everyday. We are to go to work business professional. A little makeup is nice... a lot, is not.
