Nah there's nothing wrong with it. I'm sure that if the person doesn't believe or doesn't want to pray then they'd just keep em in their thoughts.Do you think it's rude? Not everyone prays or is as religious as someone else may be. Keeping people in your thoughts isn't the same as praying but i think it works just as well.
Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. I will admit I've done it, but it doesn't really make sense. What I find ruder is when someone dosen't give a shit about god all their life but then prays to him when something goes wrong. Putting myself in gods shoes (if he even exists) I'd get pissed off if someone only talked to me when they wanted something.

i don't find it rude. if someone is going through a hard time, no matter what it may be, i would never put down their faith and debate religion with them. "oh i don't pray, b/c I don't believe there is a god''. I tell them that I will keep them in my thoughts, or that i will pray for them...even though i don't pray. It's still comforting for them to know.

What about when you're in a group setting, say Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter dinner, and you're forced to say grace when it's not something you normally do? I find that rude.
you have to sit through it and listen to it... :ninjaDo people really "force" you to say Grace?

:24::24::24: then i'll have to excuse myself to the bathroomDana.... Here's what you do....
Look down at your lap.... now imagine a beautiful woman.... now imagine the things a beautiful woman is capable of..... Right about the time you start to squirm in your chair at the table.... Grace will have been said and you can then begin to enjoy your meal. See? Wasn't that easy?
