Champagne, yum!

Dom Perignon, Chandon, Moet, Cristal, Mumms, Bollinger, Renaudin, Gosset, Krug, Louis Roederer, Pommery, Cattier, Gardet, Piper-Heidsieck, Deutz, Viardot, Tattinger, Perrier-Jouet.

As for flavours, champagne is judged by its sweetness level...extra Brut is the driest variety, then Brut, then Extra Dry, then Sec (partly sweet), Demi, and Doux (sweet). Brut's the most common. Another bit to know is that Blanc de Blancs champagne is made from white Chardonnay grapes, while Bland de Noir is made from black Pinot Noir grapes.

Hope that helps.

That does help. I've tried some Pinot Noir wine and hated the flavor so I might stay away from that type.

Why are you curious about some good champagne brands? You having a special lady over soon or are you celebrating your new home?

Champagne doesn't need to be saved for a special occasion. It's usually my alcoholic drink of choice.

Glad I could help, James. :)
