Ask Me Stuff!

Do you prefer the city, suburbs or country?

Hi, Kimmy! :)

I grew up and lived in the suburbs a long time..... finally moved to the country several years ago. I work in the city and have friends in the city that I see frequently.

With that sort of experience.... I prefer the country. No doubt about it!

I have 10 acres of heaven on a gravel road in a tiny quaint town. We have a country store 2 miles away.... a newly built used to be a real dump and they knocked it down and started over tavern/restaurant 2 miles the other way. We even have a tiny post office not far from my home. Other than that.... it's pretty much cows and corn and horses and stars like you wouldn't believe when you look up at the sky at night. Yep.... Heaven. :)

Oh.... and I do have neighbors. A farmer across the street and down about 350 feet with 100 acres of his own.... and the nearest neighbor on my side of the street is about 750 feet away on the other side of some woods. :D

Why do people have to run zig zag style when being chased by a croc?? :willy_nilly:

I've never had that experience myself.... and don't intend to anytime soon.... but I'd imagine it's because we have somewhat more agility with longer legs than them.... therefore... we can make more headway forward while zig zagging.... and the Croc just wiggles and waddles to the left and then back to the right trying to catch up.

:)

Back in the 60's my father mentioned one time driving thru town that it was supposed to be the smallest post office in the country. Not probably physically but as far as the number or residents served.

anyway ...... carry on

I do believe that to be true. Plus the structure is about a 24x30 with the small addition on the side. If you're lucky, I think maybe a dozen cars can park to do business. There was talk of shutting it down awhile back..... sure hope they don't.
