everything is reduced to competition. not good
I think that if they just presented the facts on what you will get or not get in an election of any kind without knowing the actual person running until the votes are all in... would be a better way to go! Sort of a pick door # 1 or door # 2, etc. Or the dating game.
Let the facts be what is voted on..... not who you are (looks, money, etc.).
What do you think? Silly yes.... but could it work?

well one thing that would help is to not have the continual commenting by the talking heads. the whole process has turned into just PR. Turn off the tv and just listen to them. If that had been the case I think Ron Paul would be winning in a landslide.
I hear you there. All the crap going on. What do you believe and what should you ignore? A real circus. I'm still a bit undecided on who to vote for. I'm not going to think about it anymore until I'm standing there with the lever in my fingers. I'll vote at that moment with my gut feelings.

I am for decriminalizing drugs period
It is a war that can never be won. We could fund national health care with the money saved on the enforcement side. and then tax it and sell it like booze and pay off the debt. Plus it take the money out of selling illegal drugs so the future pushers won't have that to consider for their occupation
