he is almost 25 years old. he is on his own for the most part

time to take it like a man and figure it out for himself

If he was a teenager I would obviously have to get involved along with the girls parents. If it was very early on in the pregnancy in that case I would be asking them if they are prepared for parenthood. Likely they would not be.
