As to where I have been

Well, as some of you may recall a few years ago I had a bullriding accident. I got stepped on square in the back which broke it in a couple of places. Well, as I laid up for a long spell uncapable of doing anything except for minimal physical therapy I pretty much had to fend for myself. My wife at the time decided it was time for her to party. She decided since she had a broken cowboy at home she'd go out and find her a new one. Turns out it was my best friend. He is the one who would tend to the horses and such for me. So how convienent was it for her that he was usually around. Sounds like a country and western song I know.
Anyway, as my healing progressed I decided I didn't need anyone in my life except my horses and jackass. If it weren't for them I wouldn't be in the physical shape I am in today.
As time went on I proceeded to get myself in shape both mentally and physically. I was determined I was going to crawl back on a bull again. I started out with bronc's which was a struggle at first, but I eventually worked my way up to bulls again.
As for now my life is pretty good. I have my own land and various types of livestock which consist of everything from 2 desert tortises all the way up to 128 head of cattle.
So for now I am pretty much living the single cowboy life riding in a few small rodeos and loving every minute of it. Kinda like living in tall cotton at the moment. Which is more than I can say a few years back. So I guess by me breaking my back all I can think of is that is the best thing that ever could of happened to me. As far as my physical state now, it seems as if it never happened.

Good to hear you're a fighter and your refusal to be a victim. Keep up the good fight and good luck to you. Awesome job! :thumbup

I hope one or two people here will have a think about their own attitude after reading about your positive one! :thumbup
