Just wondering if you did anything special for either of your parents 60th birthdays??

My Dad is 60 next year and I'm planning to take him on a trip to the south of France where he spent some of his young childhood.

Can I be your parent? My parents are in their later 70's. 75 was the party year for them. I think your parents did a wonderful job raising you! What a wonderful thing to do for your Dad.
(I guess that means I'm a lot older than you are!!)

My parents had me late. I'm only 18 and they are 56 and 55. I wish I could take them to France, sounds like a great gift, but we can barely fucking afford this house. Good luck to you buddy!

It shouldn't cost that much really.
I looked at renting a Villa over there and it should cost about £300 ($550ish I think) for a week, and we're pretty close to France so it's not too expensive to get over there.
He will certainly insist on making at least a contribution to the cost in some way too.
