Abortion - it is the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, or resulting in the death of the embryo or fetus. Merriam-Webster Dictionary.

It's frowned upon by some (most especially the religious people) and is supported by some. Those who are against abortion say that it's murder. Those who are pro abortion say that it fixes unwanted pregnancy and population explosion.

What's your stance regarding abortion?

If I got a girl pregnant, abortion would not be an option. (Not saying I am ready to be a father though because I'm not!). I personally would be against it. As a growing young fella who is getting older by the day, living with the consequences (or in this case a gift) is part of living life and growing up.

If I am against it or not though, what another couple do does not really concern me or is it any of my business and I am not going to judge them based on their decisions that will effect their lives but not mine.

Ultimately, there are always going to be people who get this done. I just wish that those who do, get it done in the most earliest stage of pregnancy possible.

As an example if the father shoots the mother and both die..its double murder.
Why does the baby not have the same protection from the mother in regards the babies life?

i dont know what law to quoye but surely a foetus is not a person until certain number of weeks (24?) therefore allowing termination without legal recourse

That wont work for a defense in a homicide case....24 weeks
But why is 24 weeks a magic number?
Life starts at conception not 24 weeks later.

If the anti abortion crowd is all for protecting the unborn they failed if they allow for any exceptions.

Its essentially self defense at that point....also if the mother dies then the baby dies as well.....2 points

Life starts at conception...we have different names for the baby during stages of development. ..doesnt change anything however.
Just as we have different names outside the womb
Toddler pre adolesent adolescent middle aged and on down the line.
24 weeks is just a number during the development of that life.

Isnt it convienant that life starts at 24 weeks....its just a round number..why not 5 weeks 3 days 2 hours 5 minutes and 6 seconds?

I would love to have somebody justify the belief that abortion is ok except in cases of rape.

We are far better off than back during the dark ages of back alley abortions.

I think abortion should be up to the woman period. Everybody else should mind their own business.

A fetus is a stage in human life...as explained prior its just a name given to a stage in human life.
So are you for or against a double homocide charge if a person kills the mother resulting in the death of the unborn child within her.
