Are you closer to your friends, than you are to your family?

My answer to the question is yes. Not many people are closer to their family than their friends.

I have to say that i am wayyyyyyyy closer to my family than my friends. my family will always come first and i feel totally and completely comfortable with them. i talk to them like i would talk to my best friends. i share damn near everything with them. when it comes to friends, well, they know what i want them to know and i always feel as if people are judging me. my family would never do that.

I am really close with my mom and we are more like sisters than mom and daughter.

With my dad I was never close to him at all ... It's a long story..

I think Im closer with my friends, but i dont have an akwardness with my family. My mom knows me so well its scary, and i never talk to her about my life. My brother and sister also helped raise me, so they know me. And my dad is my dad, of course he knows me.

Do they know all of my politiical stances, what my favorite band or movie is, or what I like to do with my friends? No, but they know most the important stuff about me anyways.

my family is more special to me than my friends. That's because they are a permanence in my life, and I don't really have any friends who are. I mean Ihave friends that I've had for a while, but eventually everyone goes their own way and loses touch...whereas my family is always there for me. We aren't super close but we always stay in touch and help each other out when needed.

wow HRSA after 10 i sound like you, i have biological parents adopted parents and foster parents.i come from a family of 13 kids,im #12.but i didnt know my brothers and sisters til i was in my 30s.my immediate family,wife ,children I am extremely close to.i am close to a very few friends, I dont trust alot of people.

I think I'm about just as open with my Mum as I am my friends and as close to her as I am my friends but I think the rest of the family is a different story. I'm close to them but in a different way to my friends I suppose.

It is a matter of one's own individual opinion. When you treat your family members also as your friends, then you can find a difference. Try not to make your siblings too feel the same thought, make them your best of friends.

i would seem (to my family) that i am closer to friends, but only cuz my family is a pain in the ASS. I work midnights and they come over at fuckin 1150AM "Oh you're awake? I thought you went to bed at 1200PM." NO FUCKER IT'S, LIKE, ALMOST 12 NOW! I have the fuckin toothbrush IN MY MOUTH! I am IN my homer simpson pajamas! plus my family acts so needy all the time "you never call" I'M NEVER AWAKE IN THE DAYTIME! and then my grandmother calls my wife disabled (that's like throwing C-4 into the campfire...) and getting the two of them to apologize to each other is like trying to explain how to disarm a nuclear warhead to japanese man that doesn't speak english!
