im not afraid of my own death ,like everyone else im afraid of my loved ones dying or of missing my daughters life and acievements.

i am such a nosey cow that im afraid ill miss something

I wouldn't call you nosey...buxom maybe, but definately not nosey....

But I totally agree: I most fear about how my family would get on without me...not trying to be self-centered, but having two young kids, I've seen kids that have lost a parent and they don't always turn out too well, emotionally speaking.

I think about it every now and again, and it kind of scares me.

The realization that 'i'm going to die at some point' is kind of freaky to me.

Sometimes I'll just look at my hands or arms and think about it. I have so much I want to accomplish. So to die before that kind of scares me.

I totally agree with this!

With my job, death is very real to me, almost everyday I go to work, however, that really doesn't scare me, in fact, I'm used to it, I don't really think about it much anymore. BUT....sometimes I sit and think "Someday I am going to die!" and it makes me feel all funny inside. It freaks me out. I can't explain it, I'm not really scared, but I'm very afraid of what happens AFTER I die....to my family, to me.

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. I am not affraid to die.

Have a couple of kids...that fear will come into your life. It's not for you, it's for the well-being of your kids...that's the only thing about dying that really scares me. I know that I've been a bad boy, so according to my beliefs, I might not be taken the express train to Heaven.

you really dont know what love is until you have kids ,it hurts you love them so much.
having children changes life from an illusion to reality.
our belief system is about forgiveness so...ill meet you at the train station and well go strait to the bar;)

short answer: no.

long answer: when i feel like typing out what i think on this subject, then you shall have the long answer.

the others around having to deal with your death: i think i shall just keep my mouth shut. i started typing something, and figured it best to keep to myself on this matter.

I wouldn't say I'm afraid of dying, I'm more afraid of what it's going to feel like right before I die, you know, the feeling of knowing that you're going to die, realizing that you can't breathe. I'm actually kind of looking forward to finding out what really happens when I die. Which religion, if any, is right? It intrigues me to no end.
